The next two blogs I will be posting are about investing in life settlements. The first type of settlement we will discuss are viaticals. When investing in life settlements there are some key things you must look at in order to know if it’s a strong option for you. The first is the policyholder’s medical records and prognoses.
Investing in life settlements is a risky option because we are dealing with when someone is going to die. Thus, it becomes a varying time frame as to when the investment pays off. It is best to have the policy over looked by an independent source such as an actuarial firm and to attempt to keep your time frame within three years.
Lastly how much should I actually pay into the investment, this to is a little arbitrary it is best to have the policy evaluated find its worth in order to set a investing price. It can also depend on the face value and time left to live.
